Stage Management (ages 13-18)
In this course, students will learn the stepping stones to become a competent stage manager. The will learn everything from the moment they receive their script through the actual run of the show. Students will learn topics such as the roles of a stage manager, how to properly research a show, how to create and maintain a prompt book and so much more. Stage Management is an art in and of itself that requires hard work and dedication. It takes knowledge patience, and quick problem solving skills to execute This Stage Management course will give you the basic tools to keeping the cast, crew, and show running smoothly. This course is suitable for students of all skill and interest levels in performing, backstage, or tech.
Christin Trollman is a long time Footlights staff member. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from Edinboro University. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, Chris, and their doggo, Ziggy. Christin is passionate about theater, stage management, and theater tech and is excited to continue her stage management class.
